PTOMELY, HOMOZYGOUS COLT, 3YR OLD.

STANDING AT PUBLIC STUD 2008.

All Morgan horses are descended from just one bay stallion foaled in 1789, who came into the ownership of an impoverished school master, Justin Morgan in lieu of a bad debt.

Known traits of the Vermont ‘Morgan’ horse can be seen in today’s Morgans; their versatility, toughness, excellent temperament and undoubted good looks.

The part-breeds too seem to inherit these traits and all seem to show an uncanny affinity to their owners insomuch that they are rarely sold on.

Today’s Morgans can be seen excelling in virtually all spheres – part-breeds included – being National Champions in the Showing World, Endurance Driving and, among the very best, winning BHTG Events, Affil. Dressage and Show Jumping.

There are two Morgan Horse clubs, the BMHS (British Morgan Horse Association), the governing body including the registry and the MHA (UK) (Morgan Horse Association).

There are two Morgan Horse bodies, the BMHS (British Morgan Horse Society), the governing body including the registry (tel. 01483 861 283) and the MHA (UK) (Morgan Horse Association) (01223 833 186).

Our racehorses are all sourced from one trainer who we know and trust to pass onto us sound and sane horses with excellent temperaments. They are unspoilt, trainable thoroughbreds.

Our Welsh mountain ponies are all derived from the world-renowned Crossways stud. Bred for generations for looks, ability and quite superb temperaments.
