| All Morgan horses are descended from just one bay stallion foaled in 1789, who came into the ownership of an impoverished school master, Justin Morgan in lieu of a bad debt. |

| Known traits of the Vermont ‘Morgan’ horse can be seen in today’s Morgans; their versatility, toughness, excellent temperament and undoubted good looks. |

| The part-breeds too seem to inherit these traits and all seem to show an uncanny affinity to their owners insomuch that they are rarely sold on. |

| Today’s Morgans can be seen excelling in virtually all spheres – part-breeds included – being National Champions in the Showing World, Endurance Driving and, among the very best, winning BHTG Events, Affil. Dressage and Show Jumping. |
